About this deal

I’m telling you, when I was listening to it (audiobook-ed it), I was getting goosebumps at certain parts, it’s very properly scary. Lots of tempting suggestions and questions arose, but with the book finishing abruptly I felt this one wasn't complete. Like the other books, there is a spectacular climax, but that's not the end of the tension, since this one ends on a cliffhanger.

I wasn’t sure about giving out five stars because I’m a little wary of the direction the story might take next, but well, the book itself is fantastic. Even with this indisputable fact, I remain incapable of picturing any of this happening anywhere other than Victorian or maybe pre-WWI England. There's a hint of romance, but I really appreciate it being a slow burn so it doesn't risk being sappy. We are supposed to 'win'; be is the boy, the race, or the popularity contest; and so we tend to be wary of new females in our comfort zones (even if it's undeserved or unfair). After studying English Literature at York University, he moved to London, where he worked as an editor at a publishing firm. All of London is upset, and the large Fittes and Rotwell agencies decide to put on a festival to raise everyone’s spirits: “Take Back the Night! You stand in the road, heart pounding, wheeling round, waiting for the attack – and then they’re gone. This series will leave you with eyes wide open during the night and feet shivering under your covers.
